Principal Investigator
Our program of research has been aimed at examining how social relationsihps influence health at multiple levels of analysis. We have been examining the social (e.g., types of social interactions), cognitive (e.g., how these interactions are interpreted or construed), and physiological (e.g., cardivascular, endocrine, and immune) processes associated with our all-important social relationships (Uchino, Cacioppo, & Kiecolt-Glaser, 1996; Uchino, 2004; Uchino, 2009 for reviews). Research Interests: Physiological pathways by which stress and social relationships may influence physical health outcomes.
Tracey Tacana

Research Interests: Understanding how childhood trauma affects social relationships and long-term health throughout the lifespan. More specifically, I'm interested in examining how early traumatic experiences aid psychopathology development in culturally diverse populations.
Whitney Van Tassell

I am a Psychology student graduating in the fall of 2024. Post-graduating I plan to apply to Clinical Psychology programs. I would like to be a couples therapist along with being a researcher later on. I love interacting and engaging with people, so naturally, psychology has always been an interest of mine

I am a psychology student at the U. I will be graduating in spring 2023. After my undergrad, I plan on continuing my education in graduate school. I would love to pursue something in the field of health psychology, as that has always been one of my interests.
